The Hanako - 385 nm UV + 730 nm Far Red Booster
With the Hanako (jap.: "flower child") we offer a simple possibility to equip existing lamps with an extended spectrum. This addition to the spectrum is suitable for use in the flowering phase on surfaces up to 0.5 m². Far red and ultraviolet radiation is hardly visible to the human eye, but has remarkable effects in plant culture.
- Fernrot influences the photomorphogenesis, i.e. the growth form of the plant
- Far red radiation together with red light causes an increased photosynthesis (Emerson effect)
- UV stimulates the formation of secondary plant substances, e.g. antioxidants, terpenes and other sought-after ingredients
Specifications UV and Far Red Booster
The Hanako is operated with a Mean Well LCM-25. This power supply can be adjusted to the desired current intensity by means of dip switches. At full load (700 mA) the energy consumption is about 30 W. Additionally a Potentiometer can be connected for dimming 0-100%
- consumption: approx. 30W
- Photon current: ~43 µmol (UV ~19 µmol, FR ~24 µmol)
- Radiant power: ~10 W (UV ~5,850 mW, FR ~4,150 mW)
- LED chips: Luminus SST-10-UV and Osram Oslon SSL
